Going.com members can now congratulate a friend, ask someone out on a date and introduce themselves by sending a drink

New York City, June 5, 2007 - Going.com, the 300,000-strong event-based social network that keeps people in New York, Boston and San Francisco connected online as well as offline, has partnered with BuyYourFriendADrink.com (BYFAD), the new online gift service for buying someone a drink when you can't be there to celebrate.

New York area Going.com members can now buy drinks for their friends directly from their profile page, where a link will be integrated directly below their picture. BYFAD gift recipients can redeem their drinks at nearly 60 bars and restaurants in the New York City area. To celebrate this partnership, Going.com and BYFAD are offering a "Buy One, Get One Free" drink special for a limited time.

How it Works:

• To buy a drink: A Going.com member clicks on another member's Buy A Drink, fills out the gift information and writes a personalized message. (Buyers first need to sign up as a Going.com member, which is free. Going.com members are also entitled to the 2 for 1 special; see terms below.)
• Message is sent: The gift recipient automatically receives a message in their Going.com inbox, which contains a personal note from the buyer, a gift code and a link to all the bars/restaurants in the BuyYourFriendADrink.com network.
• To redeem the gift: The recipient can print out the gift code, take it to one of the participating bars in the BYFAD network, give the bartender the gift code and order his or her drink.

New York Going.com members can buy someone a drink and get a free drink of equal value of up to $20. Special must be purchased before 6/12/07 and redeemed before 8/30/07. Purchaser and recipient must both be over 21 years old; limit is one per person.
